Red Couch Studio Team
Robyn Cook and John Dick have been a team since 1981 and founded several businesses, including Queensland’s first stock photo library in 1983.
Robyn has an intense interest in people and stories. As host of the webcasts, Stories from the Red Couch and Random Shit in my House, Robyn has shared the stories of over 200 Sunshine Coast business and community leaders.
Robyn’s career is best described as kaleidoscopic and as an over-sharer, she is very happy that social media was not a thing when she was busy misspending her youth.
John’s career as a photographer spans 40 years. His work with stock library giants saw his photographs represented around the world. John is the skill-set behind the cameras, lights, audio and editor. Some call John the “Tarp Master”. If you’ve seen their holiday set up at Cotton Tree Caravan Park, you’ll understand why.
Together with their (number 2) son Matt, they started broadcasting in 2017 and have produced over 300 episodes in their shows: Stories from the Red Couch, Random Shit in my House and Shit I Need to Know.
There have been some exciting bits over the years but these are best told over an afternoon of (Sunshine & Sons) G&T and cheese platter, all locally sourced food of course.
Robyn is super responsive to a phone call or email. You can call in for coffee and a wander around the studio.
